[21-52] Facts – Medicare Freebies… OTC Really Free?
Employees leaving an employer group plan often express how they are going to miss benefits they won’t have when they transition to Medicare. But that’s usually because they don’t really understand Medicare. Retirees will be surprised to learn that some Medicare plans are actually loaded with benefit options and are enhanced enough to come very close to the coverage they had on their employer’s plan. One benefit enhancement is free over-the-counter pharmacy products like vitamins and fitness trackers!

The meeting guides them through plan options and clarifies the benefits they are eligible to receive, so they don’t miss anything.
What over-the-counter items are free, what does ‘free’ really mean, and where do folks get the free stuff? In an episode from 65 and Counting, host Adam Frye breaks down what pharmacy ‘freebies’ mean.
